1803
Origins
These spaces were born as a Franciscan convent, woven into the oldest part of Potenza's historic centre.
Bed & Breakfast in the historic centre of Potenza
A place where the memory of the convent, the trattoria and the home transforms into an experience of quiet, matter and hospitality.
Potenza — historic centre — since 1803
From the roots of an ancient Franciscan convent, through the silence following the 1980 earthquake, to the discreet care with which the De Angelis family chose to restore life to these spaces — forgetting nothing.

History
Al Convento carries different traces within it: the convent, the trattoria, the silence of suspended years, and the care with which these spaces have returned to welcome guests today.
1803
These spaces were born as a Franciscan convent, woven into the oldest part of Potenza's historic centre.
1900s
Over time they became a place of simple tables, meetings and neighbourhood life, known as Peppe's trattoria.
1980
After the earthquake the place fell still. It waited, preserving its architectural memory through the years.
Today
The De Angelis family reopened these spaces with restraint: few gestures, materials that reveal rather than conceal.
At Al Convento you do not simply stay:
you breathe the past, live the present
and become part of a story that continues.

From the guest book
“In the morning, opening the windows, you find yourself face to face with the magnificent church of San Michele. We stayed in a former convent, restored with great skill and refinement: the ancient doors, the vintage lamps, the comfortable furnishings. The wonderful helpfulness of Antonella made for a truly memorable stay.”
